Meditation

The idea of meditation is to reach a maximum relaxation while still being aware. There are several techniques to achieve this state, and they all include focusing the mind without distractions. Meditation has been practiced by many religions. It has now reached popularity with non-religious purposes but to relieve stress and other health problems.

Different Meditation Techniques:

The mantra: The person continuously repeats a word or phrase that has a positive meaning for him/her.

Focus on your breath: The person thinks of a word that brings peace to him/herself every time he/she takes a deep breath.

Vipassana meditation: A state in which you are aware but totally disengaged from your thoughts and experiences.

Meditation with an object: The person focuses his/her attention on an object such as the flame of a candle, the sea, a river, a flower, and so on.

When is meditation used?

To alleviate stress and anxiety and lower high blood pressure. It also helps get rid of addictions and promote personal development.

Exercise:

2. Breathe deeply and feel the oxygen traveling through your body.

3. Imagine that your muscles are relaxed.
