Natural Remedies for Diabetes

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas responsible for regulating the passage of glucose from the blood to the cells. When the pancreas fails to produce insulin, the result is Type 1 diabetes. On the other hand, when the pancreas produces insulin but it is either insufficient or the body just becomes resistant to it, then Type 2 Diabetes ensues. Some home remedies to lower blood sugar levels and alleviate diabetes are:

Plant fats: It is recommended that the fats diabetics eat in their diet come mostly from vegetables such as dried fruits.

Recommended foods for diabetes: Green beans, artichokes, walnut leaves, garlic, cabbage. Avoid coffee, tea, salt, alcohol, and chocolate.

Smoothie to control diabetes: 1 cup carrot juice, 3 green beans, 3 brussel sprouts. Blend all ingredients in a blender and drink juice freshly made.

Carrots, celery, and potato: 1 cup carrot juice, 2 celery sticks, one potato (peeled). Blend all ingredients in a blender and drink juice freshly made.

Nettle root infusion: 1 bunch of nettle root, 1/2 liter of water. Bring the nettle root to a boil and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from heat and strain. Drink while it is still hot.

Cactus and aloe vera smoothie: Add 1 aloe vera leaf (washed and without the prickly ends) and 1 leaf of cactus to two liters of water. Boil for 15 minutes. Drink the water.

Chayote and pineapple: Boil the chayote until it is tender. Blend it with the same water you used to boil it, and add a piece of pineapple. Keep in the refrigerator and drink every morning.

Eucalyptus: Put 3 tender eucalyptus leaves in 1/2 liter of water and boil for five minutes. Take three cups a day alternating with a few cups of cinnamon tea.

Cod Liver Oil: Take two or three tablespoons of cod liver oil before breakfast.

Rosemary and white wine: Drink a glass of white wine with a hint of rosemary powder before breakfast every day.

Artichoke Bouillon: Artichoke broth is very beneficial to combat diabetes.

Fig leaves infusion: Put three fig tree leaves (the tree that produces edible figs) home-remedies-site.com in half a liter of water and boil for 15 minutes. Use it as drinking water.

Liquid nopal and chaya: Put the two ingredients in a blender with water and liquify. Drink.
