Dr.
Edward Bach was born in 1886 in Moseley, a village close to Birmingham, England.
As a child, he was friendly and caring with a great sense of humor. He loved nature
and playing outdoors. His dream was to find a cure for every disease and heal
people like Jesus had. When
Bach was 20 years old, he decided to become a doctor. In 1912, he graduated from
Birmingham University College Hospital, and two years later he received another
degree in health in Cambridge. During
his medical training, Bach started noticing the relationship between disease and
the emotional state of the person. He observed that people with the same disease
and similar personality responded well to a certain remedy while people with the
same illness but a different personality, did not. He thought conventional medicine
was mistaken in trying to treat the disease. He believed that the patient should
be treated, not the disease. Dr.
Bach believed that some flowers were able to change negative feelings such as
fear and hatred into courage and love. By accomplishing this, the flowers can
correct the cause of the disease.

Flower Remedies There
are 38 healing flowers, one for each negative state of mind. These remedies are
prepared from non-poisonous flowers and unpolluted water. They are safe for adults,
children, the elderly, and infants. The
flower remedies may be obtained from health shops. Also, in the Internet there
are many websites that sell them. Methods
of potentization There
are 2 methods by which Bach thought he could capture the flowers energies, the
Sun Method and the Boiling Method. In the Sun Method, the best flowers are picked
and put in a glass bowl. The bowl is then filled with spring water, placed on
the ground making sure it is exposed to strong sunlight, and left there for a
few hours. Then, the flowers are removed with a twig and the essence is poured
in a bottle filled with an equal amount of brandy. In
the Boiling Method, the buds, cones, and flowers are placed in an enamel pan with
spring water and simmered for 30 minutes. Then the pan is covered until the essence
cools. Then it is filtered and poured in a bottle with an equal part of brandy. |
